  Weekly Update September 27, 2021 9/27  We have Media Center. Books are due. Today is Maize & Blue Day. 9/28 We have art. The book order is due. 9/29 We have a late start.  School will start at 9:25.    9/30 We have gym. 10/1 We have art. LAPS FOR LINCOLN CELEBRATION!  5-7 pm at Lincoln Thank you:  I appreciate those of you who were able to sign up for a parent / teacher conference time at Back to School Night.  If you have not been able to select day and time yet, please click on this link and select a time that works best for you.  These meetings can be done face to face or virtually and will last approximately 20 minutes.   Word Work : This week your child will be learning words that follow the VCe rule.  This rule includes words like made, globe, quite, escape, and suppose.   The words can be found on Spelling City to practice.  Please remember to use the list that comes home to practice reading words, talk about the word’s meaning, and look for common patterns in th

                     Today the class voted on a reward for filling the bead jar.  They chose an outdoor toy day.   They may bring any toy that can be played with outside.  This might include,  bikes with helmets, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, or anything else your child can think of that you say yes.   If you have any questions please feel free to email me.  Thank you!

A-Zs of Second Grade! is for… Absences: Please email me or call the office if your child will not be here.  If you do not call, Mrs. Trumbley will call to follow up on your child's location.  If your child is sick, please keep them home until they are fever free without medicine for 24 hours. Allergies:  Please remember we are a safe classroom for ALL children.    Please only send safe snacks that are peanut free, tree nut free, and egg free.   Visit the blog for more ideas on approved snacks for our classroom.   Art: We will have art every Tuesday with Mrs. Warsaw is for… Bead Jar:  Students are encouraged to work as a team to earn beads for our bead jar.  When the jar is filled, they make a list and vote on the reward.   I will post to the blog when we are having a reward day in case you want to confirm your child’s story.  Please always feel free to email me if you have a question/concern about one of our days Birthday treats: Birthday treats are welcome.
