Friday, December 17, 2021 Tomorrow is set to be a busy last day. Here is a look at some of the highlights. A concert at the high school at the high school will be from 9:00.    Please, please, please have your child here at 8:20.   We will be loading the buses at 8:40 to go to the high school for the concert from 9-10:00.  There will be all 3 elementary schools so its critical everything runs on time. We should be back to Lincoln by 10:30.    The bead jar was filled so the students may bring a small stuffy,  a toy for a short toy time, and hopefully we will be making slime in a ziplock from a recipe used in our previously studied Battle Creek Science program.    A fun snowman snack and a snowman breakout box will be part of our festivities before one final recess at our usual 3:05 recess time. We will end the day with our Star of the Week sharing, packing of bags, good-byes, and a special surprise from me.   Our good-byes are especially special tomorrow as we say good-bye to Lauren and

  Weekly Update December 13, 2021 12/13 We have Media Center. Books are due today. 12/14 We have art. 12/15 Late Start  School will start at 9:25. We are watching the Nutcracker today in the gym grades 2-5 12/16 We have   gym. 12/17 We have music. We are going to the high school today for the Holiday Concert.     Word Work: Our class will be learning the -r controlled e, i, and u syllable pattern this week. Our syllable pattern will show up in words like smart, shark, start, and market.  Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week. Ice Skating: Thank you to those parents who were able to help our students put on and take off ice skates.  We had a wonderful time. Ice Skating: Thanks to our PTO and the City of St. Joseph, our Lincoln School K-5 students will be able to ice skate for free at the Howard Ice Arena on  Thursday, December 17th.  Our second graders will walk with their teachers to and from the ice rink. Students may get ice skates to use at the rink for free or bring their own skates in some type of bag.  Helmets and safety gear are encouraged.  P
