 The bead jar was filled!!      The students filled the bead jar today.  They voted for a non-electronic toy time, clear drink with their snack, as well as mindful toys and fidgets are allowed.  In addition, I told them they would get an art & craft time during the last bead jar day but I was not here so we will do that tomorrow during the toy time.  Email me with any questions.

Our syllable pattern makes the sound as in coy, toil, and turmoil.    Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.   Math Fact Mastery : In 2nd grade we divide out our math facts into chunks that follow the order of addition facts to 10, subtraction facts to 10, addition facts 10-20, and subtraction facts 10-20.   At this time of year, your child should be at or above working on fluently adding facts 10-20.   Students have been practicing the facts in class individually and through games.  If he/she is not at this

 The bead jar was filled!!!  The students filled the bead jar.  They are getting the hang of suggesting the option of "everything goes" as they know that everything on the list is a yes as long as someone at home says yes.   Tomorrow I will allow the following.... *Movie -we are watching The Mouse and The Motorcycle to compare/contrast with Beverly Cleary's book that we finished reading today. *Popcorn Friday *Something Soft *Pajamas *Clear Liquid *Toy Day-electronics allowed *Extra Snack *Craft Time -I will pull out our classroom art supplies for students to create projects during the toy time

Our syllable pattern makes the sound as in  beware, rarely, and prairie.    Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.   Parent /Teacher Conferences : Conferences will be primarily done on an  "as needed basis" for students needing additional academic, social, or emotional support.  A conference note will be coming home this week for all parents to complete and return to school as soon as possible.  This information will help me schedule conferences.   Devices :  Please, please, please make sure your child has

Happy New Year: I hope everyone had a wonderful vacation and is ready to return to school tomorrow!  Please remember students should bring a charged computer, library books, a water bottle, and snack. If there is snow still on the ground, please also bring boots. If students want to play in the snow, they may want snow pants so pants stay dry.
