Today is Pajama Day! We have Media Center. Books are

due today.

Remember tonight is Back to School Night.  I look forward to

We have art. Today is Jersey & Hat Day.

We have a late start.  School will start at 9:25. Today is Orange

Wednesday.

Picture Day! We have gym. Today is Country vs. Country Club

We have music. Today is Hawaiian Day


Conferences:  This fall will be offering conferences in person and virtual.  Our conference window is open from October 10th until November 12th.  There will be a sign-up table outside of the office during Back To School Night for you to choose the time and type of conference you prefer.  Please email me if the dates or times do not work with your schedule and I will make accommodations. Thank you!


Laps For Lincoln:  Yay Laps For Lincoln is back!   The event is October 1st at Lincoln School.  Information will come home on September 20th.


NWEA:  We have taken our reading NWEA assessment this past week and will be taking the math portion this coming week. Please continue to have your child get plenty of rest each night and eat a healthy breakfast.  Thank you.


Nightly Reading:  Students are expected to read every night for 15 min.

Word Work: Our class will be learning to form plurals by adding -s, -es, or -ies to words such as rocks, wishes, boxes, and puppies this week. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 20 practice list for the week.   Music Performance:   The students have begun practicing together on stage. Here is a link to the music blog for access to everything about the play. We ordered the new hats shown on the blog and are excited for how it's going to look. We are watching the Nutcracker today in the gym grades 2-5 12/16 We have   gym. 12/17 We have music. We are going to the high school today for the Holiday Concert.     Word Work: Our class will be learning the -r controlled e, i, and u syllable pattern this week. Our syllable pattern will show up in words like smart, shark, start, and market.  Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.
