Word Work: Our class will be learning about the long i digraph syllable pattern this week. Words that use this pattern include light, sigh, tie, and pie. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week. 


Thanksgiving Luncheon: Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers at our Thanksgiving Luncheon last Wednesday. We enjoyed a great meal celebrating all that we are thankful for.

                                  The class filled the bead jar.  They voted for an Everything Goes Day with an electronic toy day, pajama day, something soft day, time for a read in, and safe candy allowed (no tree nuts, no peanuts, and no eggs).   If this impending weather causes a snow day we will do this next Friday.  It will not be moved to Tuesday due to that being our Twosday celebration.  Please email me if you have any questions.  Thank you!

  Weekly Update Week of April 18, 2022   1  4/18     We have Media Center. 1  4/19   We have art.     4/20   We have a late start.     4/21   We have gym.      4/22   We have music. Word Work: Our class will be learning to form plurals by adding -s, -es, or -ies to words such as rocks, wishes, boxes, and puppies this week. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 20 practice list for the week.   Music Performance:   The students have begun practicing together on stage. Here is a link to the music blog for access to everything about the play. We ordered the new hats shown on the blog and are excited for how it's going to look.
