Weekly Update

Week of April 25, 2022

4/27	We have a late start.  2nd Grade School Performance

Word Work: Our class will be learning about irregular plurals such as words like children, wolves, and pianos this week. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 20 practice list for the week.

Music Performance: Our second graders will perform for our school this Wednesday, April 27th at 2:30 p.m. Please have your children wear or bring their clothes for the performance that day.  

Our performance for parents and friends will be at the SJHS Auditorium on May 4th.  Students should arrive by 5:20 and the performance will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.  Here is a link to the music blog for access to everything about the play. We are  excited for this jungle of a production!

Lory’s Place Run, Walk, Rock:  The 17th annual Run, Walk, and Rock to support Lory’s Place is coming up on May 21st.   It is a fantastic family event that supports the services of Lory’s Place.  If you are not aware, Lory’s Place, named after a former Lincoln parent, is a wonderful grief center that is active in our school as well as 56 other schools in our area helping children who have had someone special in their life die.  You can register here. 

 

Upcoming Dates

4/27	Late Start.   The 2nd graders will perform their play for the school in the Lincoln gym.
4/29	Harmening / Laukus 9:30 a.m. Planetarium
5/4	The 2nd graders will perform their play at the high school at 5:30. Students should arrive by 5:20 p.m.
5/12	Mrs. Starks' class to the Planetarium @ 9:30
