WORD WORK: This week our class will be learning about adding suffix endings -er and -or to words as in the words painter and sailor. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 23 practice list for the week. NWEA: Your child’s results for the reading and math assessments will be shared in your child’s last report card. Weekly Update November 1, 2021 11/1 We have media center. Books are due back today. 11/2 We have art. 11/3 Late Start School will start at 9:25. 11/4 We have gym. 11/5 We have music. Word Work : Our class will learn words that follow the long e digraph syllable pattern this week. Long e digraph syllable patterns use the following vowel teams ie, ea, and ee. The following words are examples of this pattern chief, stream, and sneeze. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.
