We are going to the high school today for the Holiday Concert.     Word Work: Our class will be learning the -r controlled e, i, and u syllable pattern this week. Our syllable pattern will show up in words like smart, shark, start, and market.  Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.
