Weekly Update

October 25, 2021

10/25	We have Media Center and books are due.
10/26	We have art.
10/27	Late Start  School will start at 9:25.
10/28	We have gym
10/29	We have music  Halloween Party at 2:25    Parade at 3:15 pm.

Halloween Party: Thank you for your patience in receiving Halloween Party Info. The sign up link is here. It will be a simple craft, snack, team activity, and then the parade at 3:15. Students may wear their costumes all day. Please email me with any questions. Thank you!

Word Work: This week your child will learn words that have the long-o digraph pattern.  This rule includes words like bowl, soak, and hoe.   The words can be found on Spelling City to practice.  Please remember to use the list that comes home to practice reading words, talk about the word’s meaning, and look for common patterns in the way the words are spelled.  Please do not feel your child should be able to spell all the words on this list.

Computers:  Class runs more smoothly when all the computers are charged.  Please have a designated space for your child to charge their computer nightly. 

Cold Weather:  Sadly our days are becoming cooler.  Please remember your child is outside up to 4 times a day with gym and 3 recesses.  If the outdoor temperature is below 60, they must have long sleeves.  Please send them in layers so that they can stay warm.  

Conferences:  Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to meet with me to discuss your child.  Please watch your email and/or your child’s take home folder for meeting reminders.  Each conference is scheduled for 20 minutes. Please send me an email if you have questions or concerns about our conference.
