Weekly Update

10/4	We have Media Center. Library books are due.  Today is Maize & Blue Day.
10/5	We have art.
10/6	Late Start  School will start at 9:25.
10/7	We have gym.
10/8	We have music.

Laps for Lincoln was a huge success! Thank you for all of your wonderful support. We have raised funds to enrich the lives of all our students. We have awesome students who show their best selves everyday.

Thank you:  I appreciate those of you who have been able to sign up for a conference time on our google doc.  If you have not been able to select a day and time yet, please click on this link and select a time that works best for you.  These meetings will be done virtually and will last approximately 20 minutes.  

Word Work: This week your child will be learning words that are open syllables.  This includes words like; be, by, me, and cry.   The words can be found on Spelling City to practice.  Please remember to use the list that comes home to practice reading words, talking about the word’s meaning, and looking for common patterns in the way the words are spelled.  Please do not expect your child to be able to spell all the words on this list. In school we play Spelling Sparkle with the words where each child says a letter in the word. This could be done at home where you spell a letter and then your child, etc until the word is spelled.

Please continue your reading nightly routine.
