Weekly Update

Week of May 9, 2022

WORD WORK: This week our class will be learning about adding -ed and -ing endings to words.   Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 22 practice list for the week.  

Thank you for the many ways you, your children, and our amazing PTO made us feel special during Teacher Appreciation Week and throughout the year.  The past few years have been difficult for us all with extra health concerns, new and constantly changing procedures, and attempting to make the new normal…normal.  What has not changed are the wonderful children that come to us each day, the supportive parents always asking how they can help, and everyone working together to provide the best education possible. Please know we are thankful for you each and every day and could not do what we do without you!

Warm Weather Water Bottles:  This up-coming week promises to get warm.  Please help your child stay hydrated by sending in a water bottle each day.  

Please remember our drinking fountains are not accessible at this time.

Planetarium Field Trip: Our trip to the Upton Planetarium is this Thursday 

We can only accommodate a few parents to join our class due to

limited seating.  If you would like to attend, please contact me by Tuesday. Parents

are required to have filled out the necessary paperwork and drive themselves

to Upton.
